Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's history combines family football scholarship and volunteering for the community. First family he is the youngest of nine children of Lucious the Jessie and Lucious Selmon. The family lived on a family farm near Eufala, Oklahoma. Two, football. He was one of three brothers who played for Oklahoma. All three of them were All-Americans. One year 1973 Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy has won both the Outland Award as well as the Lombardi Award as the top lineman in America. The three years he was the team's starter, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 and won two national championships. The National Football Foundation named him an Scholar-Athlete for the 3rd time in 1975. Selmon graduated with a diploma from the University of California in Berkeley. Lee Roy spent ten hours per week volunteering in his college days. Following college, he relocated to Tampa and played nine years with the Buccaneers. He was an All-Pro three times. Then he started his professional career. He began his career in 1988. was working as an Account Relation Officer for First Florida Bank in Tampa. He worked for Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It's no wonder that the Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as among the most prominent young men across the nation. As a student, Lee Roy was 6-2 and was weighing 256 pounds. He captained his college team in 1975. In 1993, Roy was a part of at the University of South Florida's athletic department as associate director. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame named his as a member in the year 1998. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame, in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame, in 1995. In 1989 The Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented the Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Sr. Henry Bellmon was the Oklahoma Governor, who awarded this award.
