Lowell started acting when she appeared in Dangerously Close. She then was a minor character in the Robin Williams film Club Paradise. She also had roles co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared in Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she appeared in the identical role of Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. And again in 2022 on the original show. 6] She was frustrated by her acting career, so she decided to apply to New York University to study documentary filmmaking.
